What we collect
- Your account: name, work email, company, a hashed password, and your sign-in history (time, address, browser) for security.
- Your profile: trades, states, shop ZIP, travel radius, bonding and job size, certifications.
- Your bid data: bids you save, the numbers you enter, results you record, and any history you upload (past bids, estimates, job costs) or import from the public record.
- Documents you upload: solicitations and bid books you ask us to read.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
- To run BidBud for your firm: score open bids against your profile, price your bids, train your firm's own model, write briefs, checklists and pricing memos, and send the emails you ask for.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to answer you when you write to us.
Your firm's data is never pooled
Our models and pricing only ever read your private rows with your firm's id. They are never used to train the shared market model, never used to price another firm's bid, and never sold. The shared market model learns only from bid results that public owners already publish.
Who reads your packets in review
Unless your firm turns on self-review, a named BidBud reviewer reads each packet while it is in review: the job, your cost (or the example cost), your normal price, the recommended price, any price change and the flag notes. The reviewer does not join your firm, sees only packets waiting for review, and every view and every action is recorded in your firm's audit log under the reviewer's own account. When an owner turns on self-review in Settings, your packets leave BidBud's review queue and only your own team reviews them.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each only for its job: our hosting and database providers, Stripe for billing, an email provider for sign-in links and digests, and Anthropic's API to read solicitation documents you upload into a brief. Documents sent for a brief are used to produce that brief only.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your history and trained models at any time on Your history. To close your account and delete everything, ask from your account's Settings page or reply to any email from us; we do it within 30 days, except what the law makes us keep (such as invoices).
Cookies
We use only the cookies the app needs: your session, a form-safety token and a short-lived message after you save something. Your light or dark choice is kept in your own browser. No advertising or tracking cookies.
